Utility Level Lateral Service Supports

CLIENT

Mercury
The project consisted of the fabrication, assembly, and installation of Unistrut racks for the purpose of holding and supporting mechanical and process pipework. The production of all necessary supports was carried out at an offsite manufacturing facility with the intention of reducing installation time and ensuring timely completion of client handover and milestone dates.
Each component was carefully labelled and transported to the final location where surveyors confirmed their respective positions prior to installation.

Both Ground-mounted Unistrut racks were assembled and anchored into floor slab. While, the ceiling-mounted racks were bolted into pre-existing Unistrut tracks formed in the concrete slab.
Furthermore, the Quality Assurance team compiled all pertinent equipment-related documentation and issued them to the client in a digital format.

ROSS Engineering were successfully awarded the detail, fabrication, assembly and installation of the Unistrut utility Level Lateral Pipe Supports project, with a focus on providing robust and efficient mechanical and electrical system supporting. Our client entrusted us with this crucial task, and we executed it with precision and excellence.

The project encompassed three main phases:

The core of this project involved the meticulous fabrication and assembly of Unistrut racks at an offsite manufacturing facility. These racks were custom-designed to accommodate the specific needs of the mechanical and process pipework, ensuring optimal support and stability. During the height of the project, we were processing 11,000m of Unistrut a week at our off site facility.

To expedite the installation process and meet critical project milestones, each fabricated component was systematically labelled and carefully transported to the final installation location. Before installation, our team of surveyors verified the precise positioning of these components, ensuring accuracy and alignment.

The project consisted of both,

a. Ground-Mounted Unistrut Racks.
b. Ceiling-Mounted Racks.

Given the nature of the facility, quality was of paramount importance throughout the project. Our dedicated Quality Assurance team meticulously compiled all relevant equipment-related documentation. These documents were provided to the client in a digital format, ensuring transparency and compliance with industry standards.

The successful completion of the Unistrut utility level lateral pipe supports project not only met the client’s expectations but also exemplified our commitment to excellence in engineering and project management. By optimizing offsite fabrication, precise installation, and rigorous quality control, we ensured that Mercury’s critical infrastructure received the support it needed, setting the stage for long-term operational reliability and success.
